What do you do when the RV market is flooded? You rise above the water and ride the wave of something different. For co-founders Brent Kattau and Joel Lederman, park models are that wave. With high demand and very few manufacturers, along with well over 30 years of park model-focused experience, these two knew that starting their own brand just made sense.
Heightening Your Awareness
Park models are one of the “best kept secrets” within the RV world. They resemble “tiny homes” but can’t have more than 400 square feet within the floorplan. They have more floor space than a traditional RV and feature luxuries like full-size, residential bathrooms, large kitchens and lofts. When all is said and done, a park model is built more like a house. They have beautiful and cozy interiors, offer more space, and have larger appliances. An average park model is about 12’ wide and 39’ long. If you enjoy destination camping, or have a seasonal site, park models are a great choice.
Raising Expectations
With a completely new facility, and designs in place for seven initial floorplans, Brent and Joel opened for business with a queue full of orders from about 20 dealers coast-to-coast. One of the features that sets them apart is their custom cabinetry. At shows, Joel said that the first thing customers would do is open and close cabinet doors and drawers throughout the model. Because of that, he knew he wanted Elevation’s cabinetry to feel different. Their cabinets are dove-tailed and have ball-bearing glides. Brent and Joel also wanted to get away from the mentality that park models are for an older demographic of campers who want to retire and “park it.” Their park models include new and exciting features that will appeal to a younger buyer.
Elevating the Culture
The Elevation name was deliberately chosen to reflect the culture that the two, young co-owners want to cultivate. Their goal is to ELEVATE every aspect of their company. From the pride their employees take in building a superior product, to the dealer that partners with their company, to the customer who purchases their next home-away-from-home. Elevation Park Models want to rise to a higher standard.
Expanding Inventory
Kunes RV is proud to welcome Elevation Park Models to their Wisconsin Rapids location. Central Wisconsin has a bevvy of seasonal campgrounds. And park models, though in high demand, are hard to come by in this area. Kunes RV saw the need and is excited to partner with Brent, Joel and the staff at Elevation. Units will begin to arrive in January 2023. The Wisconsin Rapids location will have five loft-style floorplans in stock on their lot.
